designing an original DNA Cuboctahedron
I'm using the same basic techniques as the DNA dodecahedron, tetrahedron and the DNA bucky ball, but instead of starting with the three-point motif, I used the four-point. However I didn't bother making the carbon-cage template for this. I increased the number of unpaired bases in the purple loop to make the tiles more flexible. You can see there is still some final refinement necessary (like in the lower left corner there), but I'm going to let the energy minimizer do that.
